Last week I wrote with some exciting news about Elane getting a new car.  This week we have another new addition to the Brown household!  This is Eos, our new puppy!  She is an 8 week old Bernese Mountain Dog and we picked her up last Friday.  We got her from a local Bernese breeder and had picked her out within a few weeks of her being born, but couldn’t bring her home until last week.  It was a long few weeks waiting for her!

She is a big bundle of soft fur at the moment, so you can’t help but pet her, which she happily accepts.  The first couple of days that we had her she slept like crazy, but she’s becoming much more of a normal puppy now that she’s comfortable with us.  She still likes to sleep quite a bit, but also goes through very playful times!

She is less than 10 pounds now, but will be growing very quickly.  Female Berners can be anywhere between 80-100 pounds full grown, so she’ll get pretty big.  Although she’ll be a large dog, one of the reasons we decided on a Bernese is that they are known to be extremely easy going and not hyper-active inside.  They are also one of the most beautiful dog breeds!

Enjoy the pictures, I’m sure there will be plenty more as she gets older!
